Somers Fire Hall, currently located at 27 Lesley Avenue, was originally built in the 1950s. The original building has served the fire district well for 60 years, but now the building has become a significant obstacle as far as increasing maintenance and space concerns.

Looking to the future, several years ago the Fire District Board of Trustees purchased property at

784 Somers Road with the intention of building a new fire hall at the site. This fire hall will be larger than our current hall, modern, and built with future expansion in mind. The increased size will enable us to replace some of our aging trucks with larger, newer trucks so that the Volunteer Fire Fighters of our district can serve the community to the best of our ability.
